IH Certificate

The 4-week course is recognised throughout International House World Organisation and
accredited by Aston University. Non-native teachers can apply for this course providing their level of English is at least upper intermediate.
The course focuses on the teachers' ability to:
• develop learners' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills
• analyse language: grammar, lexis and phonology
• introduce, revise and practise language at a range of levels
• evaluate published and authentic materials
• motivate learners
• plan lessons
• manage classes
• adapt and respond to different learning and teaching environments
• teach young learners

This award can be gained subject to a high standard achieved on our CELTA courses in;

• teaching 
• analysing language for teaching purposes
